There's no setup fee, no charge to create your profile or your rate cards, no inactivity fee, and Starter is free for your first 6 months. From there, two separate fees apply to each transaction — and your subscription plan reduces the one you pay.
The two transaction fees

Most clients check out as guests without a RateCards account, so they pay the flat 5.5% — as does a client on the Starter plan. Only a client on a paid Solo or Business plan pays a reduced rate, and that's set by their plan, not yours. The same works in reverse: when you book another provider, your plan sets what you pay.
The booking fee is calculated on your listed price and itemised before your client confirms payment, so the price you list stays the price you quote. If you'd rather your client saw no added fee, you can choose to absorb it yourself.
Both rates are all-inclusive — Stripe's processing costs are covered within them and are never billed to you separately.
Minimum fee on small transactions
On transactions under $20, a minimum fee of $1 per side applies in place of the percentage rate — $1 deducted from your payout and $1 added to your client's total, $2 in all.
