Fees apply on both sides of a transaction. Your service fee comes out of your payout and is set by your plan — 5.50% on Starter, 20% less on Solo, 30% less on Business. Your client’s booking fee is added at checkout and is a flat 5.50%; your plan does not change it. Only a registered RateCards user booking you pays their own plan’s rate instead — and that is the same rate you pay when you book another provider. Sellers can choose to absorb the client booking fee themselves. Top-up pack: up to 50,000 additional emails and 5,000 additional contacts for $19.99/mo on Solo and Business.

How much does RateCards cost?
There are three plans. Starter is free for your first 6 months, then $5/mo billed annually ($60 a year) or $7/mo billed monthly. Solo is $24/mo billed annually ($288 a year) or $29/mo monthly. Business is $119/mo billed annually ($1,428 a year) or $149/mo monthly. A per-transaction service fee applies on every plan, listed below.
Is there a free plan?
Starter is free for 6 months with no credit card required. It includes up to 15 rate cards, your shareable profile link and QR code, automatic bank payouts via Stripe, recurring or fixed payments, tips, basic analytics, and the AI Rate Advisor, Profile Enhancement, and Rate Card Generator tools. After 6 months Starter continues at $5/mo billed annually.
What is the RateCards service fee?
The service fee is deducted from your payout. On Starter it is 5.5%, on Solo 4.4% (20% less), and on Business 3.85% (30% less). The rate is all-inclusive — Stripe’s processing costs are absorbed within it and are not charged to you separately. See Payment Terms.
Is there a minimum fee on small transactions?
Yes. On transactions below $20 the minimum service fee is $1 per side — $1 deducted from the seller’s payout and $1 added to the client’s total, $2 in all — in place of the standard percentage rate.
What’s the difference between the service fee and the client booking fee?
They are two separate charges. The service fee comes out of your payout and is set by your plan. The client booking fee is added to your client’s total at checkout and calculated on your listed price — so your listed price is what you quote, not what they pay in total. That fee is set by the booker’s own plan: a client checking out without a RateCards account pays a flat 5.5%, while a registered RateCards user booking you pays their own plan’s rate. Sellers can also choose to absorb the client booking fee themselves. See Payment Terms.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. If RateCards adjusts subscription pricing, monthly subscribers receive at least 30 days’ written notice before the change takes effect. See our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
How much are extra team seats?
Team seats are a Business plan feature. Business includes one owner seat, and additional seats are $35/mo each.
What’s included with the AI Voice Receptionist?
The Voice Receptionist answers client calls when you can’t. It’s a $50/mo add-on on Solo with 100 minutes included, and it’s included free on Business with 150 minutes included. After that, minutes are billed at $0.30 each against a monthly voice spend cap you set. The default cap is $100; when you reach it, voice pauses for the rest of the billing month and calls route to voicemail, so nothing is billed above your cap.
What are the email marketing and CRM contact limits?
Solo includes Campaign Studio, Newsletter and Email Marketing up to 5,000 emails a month and a Client CRM for up to 1,000 contacts. Business raises that to 50,000 emails a month and 10,000 contacts. Need more before your next renewal? A $19.99/mo top-up pack adds up to 50,000 more emails and 5,000 more contacts for the month on either plan.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed by Stripe on its standard payout schedule. A first payout is commonly delayed longer than later ones — typically 7 to 14 days — while Stripe completes account verification. After that, payouts follow the standard schedule. Timing can vary by account type, country, and verification status.

A seller's first payout is commonly delayed longer than subsequent payouts — typically 7 to 14 days — while Stripe completes account verification; payouts after that follow the standard schedule. - 2.RateCards facilitates payment collection through your profile link. Actual payment receipt depends on the customer completing the transaction and Stripe processing the payment successfully. RateCards does not guarantee payment on every job.
- 3.Recurring billing and automatic payments are processed through Stripe. RateCards is not responsible for failed charges, payment disputes, or interruptions in recurring payment schedules.
- 4.Service fees are all-inclusive — Stripe's processing costs are absorbed within the rates shown and are not charged separately to buyers or sellers. See Stripe's Services Agreement for details.
- 5.Tips are optional and voluntary. Tipping availability may be subject to applicable local laws and regulations. RateCards does not guarantee tip amounts or outcomes.
- 6.RateCards may adjust subscription pricing from time to time. Monthly subscribers will receive at least 30 days' written notice before any price increase takes effect; annual subscribers will receive at least 45 days' notice before their renewal date. In both cases, you may cancel before the effective date at no additional charge. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. See Section 7.4 of our Terms of Service for full details.
- 7.AI Voice Receptionist is a $50/mo add-on on Solo, including 100 voice minutes per month, and is included on Business with 150 voice minutes per month; additional minutes are billed at $0.30 per minute. Account owners set a monthly voice spend cap, which defaults to $100. Once the cap is reached, voice service pauses for the remainder of the billing month and calls route to voicemail; no usage is billed beyond the cap. Business includes 1 owner seat; additional team seats are $35/mo each, with the account owner able to grant or restrict each seat's access to pricing controls and business-wide revenue data. Included minutes reset monthly and do not roll over. RateCards reserves the right to adjust rates and allowances with advance notice in accordance with our Terms of Service.
- 8.Bookings made through RateCards include a client booking fee, calculated on the listed price and added to the client's total. The standard rate is 5.5%. Ordinary clients hold no RateCards subscription and therefore pay the flat 5.5% — the seller's plan does not reduce it. Where the booking client is themselves a RateCards subscriber, the rate is reduced by that client's own plan on the same schedule as the service fee — 20% lower on Solo and 30% lower on Business. Your plan therefore sets the rate you pay when you book another provider, not the rate your own clients pay. The fee is itemised and shown in the total before the client confirms payment. It is separate from the service fee deducted from your payout, and it does not change the price you list. Sellers may instead choose to absorb the client booking fee themselves so their client sees no added fee at checkout; doing so does not change the service fee deducted from the seller's payout.
- 9.Contact and email limits apply per billing month: Solo includes up to 1,000 contacts and up to 5,000 emails per month; Business includes up to 10,000 contacts and up to 50,000 emails per month. A top-up pack adding up to 50,000 emails and 5,000 contacts is available on Solo and Business for $19.99/mo. Unused contacts and emails do not roll over. Email sending is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable anti-spam laws.
- *Transactions below $20 incur a minimum service fee of $1 on each side of the transaction — $1 deducted from the seller's payout and $1 added to the client's total, $2 in aggregate — in lieu of the standard percentage rate. Transaction fees may be adjusted with advance notice in accordance with our Terms of Service.
